ExOfficio Member Executive CommitteeBoone Vastine is one of the founders of the Juvenile Justice Ministries Network of Texas. His leadership and contributions were indispensible in the successful development of the network. Boone is also the founder and President of Initiatives for America’s Youth, Inc., a non-profit corporation organized to provide support and advocacy for non-profit groups and programs whose mission is the development and/or delivery of positive initiatives for troubled and at-risk youth. Boone volunteers as a Chaplain to incarcerated youth at the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department, Westside Detention Center and Texas Youth Commission, Crockett State School, as a Bible Study leader through New Life Juvenile Justice Ministries, a ministry of Initiative for America’s Youth, Inc., and as a mentor with LifeChange Mentoring Program. He received the Governor’s Texas Youth Commission Individual Faithfulness Award for 2001-2002 and TYC Outstanding Religious Volunteer for Crockett State School award for 2001-2002. Boone is a member of the Community Resource Council for Crockett State School. Boone is married and the father of five and the grandfather of six, and lives with his wife, Carolyn, in Houston, Texas, where he currently practices law. |
