Chaplain Roy is
entering his 10th year of juvenile ministry in Dallas County
as Senior Chaplain of the Lyle B. Medlock Youth Treatment
Center, a maximum security facility housing ninety-six male
juvenile offenders. He coordinates over one hundred
volunteers in 8 dorms at the Medlock facility where Sunday
Services, weekly Bible Study opportunities, monthly
adopt-a-dorm fellowships and one-on-one mentoring is
provided. He also serves as a mentor and trainer with LifeChange Mentoring Program. Chaplain Roy is quick to tell
everyone that mentors is the greatest need with respect to
volunteer ministry opportunity.
Chaplain Roy
Teague is the Founder and President of LifeQuest Essentials,
Inc. which is a non profit chaplaincy, mentoring and
aftercare ministry to incarcerated youth in Dallas and Ellis
Counties in North Central Texas. He is a graduate of the
Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. He served on the staff of
First Baptist Dallas as a mission pastor for fifteen years,
which he says God used to prepare him for his current
ministry with juvenile offenders and their families.
Chaplain Teague
is a frequent speaker at Restorative Justice Ministry
Awareness Conferences. He is available to speak to churches,
civic groups, youth groups and men’s groups interested in
knowing more about volunteer ministry opportunities. He is
available to present “America’s Crisis... Troubled Teens...
At-Risk Youth” PowerPoint presentation and parent
seminars which feature June Hunt’s book Bonding with Your
Teen through Boundaries.
