Juvenile Justice Ministries Network of Texas (JJMNT)

 

A Christ-centered association whose mission is to strengthen individuals, organizations, and churches who work with juvenile offenders and their families.

 

JJMNT Executive Committee Meeting

 

     The first meeting of the new year for the JJMNT Executive Committee was held in Waco, January 27, 2007. Minutes of the meeting are available at Minutes January, 2007.

     Among the major actions for 2007 are:

        * Publishing  a 2007 version of the Juvenile Justice Ministry Directory

          * Providing resource articles on a quarterly basis on the JJMNT website.  Subjects to include: mentoring, aftercare, drug abuse, gangs, Bible studies, ministry to facility staff, and residential aftercare. The first quarterly theme will appear on the organization's website during the first week of March, 2007.

Discussion of an Area-Wide JJMNT Conference for the Dallas-Ft. Worth area were discussed.  Additional information will be presented at the May meeting.
