SHIRLEY ORR SMITH, West Texas Representative

From 1983 - 1995 Shirley served in seven Asian countries, Germany and Greece starting and strengthening single adult ministries as Special Consultant for Single Adult Ministries for the Baptist Sunday School Board. During those years she enjoyed additional ministry opportunities as an international conference leader, talk show hostess for Far East Broadcast Company, and author of leadership development manuals, study courses for Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary, and audio cassette Bible study courses
Presently her involvements in juvenile justice ministries include: Director of Training and national representative for LifeChange Mentoring curriculum, Juvenile Justice Ministry Consultant and Editor for the Restorative Justice News, Board of Directors member of Initiatives for America's Youth, and former member of North Central Texas Council of Governments juvenile justice team. She has served on the JJMNT Executive Committee since its be-ginning in 2003. Shirley and husband live in Midland, Texas.

she joined Chaplain Don Dennis to establish New Life Juvenile Justice
Ministry (NLJJM). She served as Training Director until 1998 when she
assumed the role of State Coordinator for NLJJM
